  • Does the resort offer family activities?
    Yes. CordeValle is a family-friendly resort with activities for kids and parents. The resort offers a Kid's Program, an outdoor pool, hiking trails, and youth tennis and golf lessons, as well as kid's menus at our restaurants.
  • Do you need to make reservations to use the fitness center?
    Reservations are not required for the fitness center, but you must book personal training and yoga sessions in advance, as well as guided hikes. We also offer golf fitness sessions by appointment to improve your posture, performance, and motion.
  • Are activities included with the resort fee?
    Many activities and amenities at CordeValle are included with the resort fee, including our outdoor pool, fitness center, bocce ball, archery, and hiking trails, as well as our kid's programs. There are additional fees for golf, tennis, spa treatments, fitness classes, wine tasting, and guided hikes.
  • Are resort activities available to the public?
    Most resort activities are only for guests and CordeValle LifeStyle and Golf members, including our pool, fitness center, and spa. Our 18-hole golf course is open to hotel guests with green and cart fees. Clos LaChance Winery is open to the public for wine tasting and tours.
  • Is there parking at CordeValle?
    Yes. Guests enjoy convenient valet parking for $30 a day. Valet parking gives you unlimited in and out access so you can drive out and explore surrounding attractions and activities in San Martin, CA.
  • Is CordeValle a pet-friendly resort?
    Yes. Pets are allowed at CordeValle, including guest rooms and suites, beautiful resort grounds, and at the Lion's Peak Grill and One Iron Bar Terrace. Pets are not permitted in the clubhouse, pool area, spa, or on the golf course. There is a $150 fee for each pet per stay, and pets must be on a leash.
  • What does a CordeValle Membership cost?
    CordeValle offers a Lifestyle Membership and four types of Golf Memberships at varying costs. The Lifestyle Membership provides full use of the resort's facilities and amenities, except the golf course. We offer Executive, Corporate and Young Professionals Golf Memberships, as well as a National Golf Membership for golfers that live 150 miles outside of CordeValle.   • Do you have any guestrooms with two beds?
    All rooms and suites are outfitted with one California King-sized bed. For additional bedding, we can place one rollaway bed in our Fairway Rooms and Bungalows, and two rollaway beds in our Villa Suites. Rollaway beds are available for a $75 fee per night.
  • What time is check-in/check-out?
    Check-in is at 4:00 pm, and check-out is at 12:00 pm (noon). We, unfortunately, cannot guarantee early check-ins or late check-outs, but we will try to accommodate these requests as business allows.
  • Can you access resort activities if not a hotel guest?

    CordeValle is a private luxury resort known for its charm and intimacy. Only hotel guests and CordeValle membership holders can use the resort experiences and amenities, including our golf course, restaurants, and spa.

    Guests and members enjoy full access to complimentary activities, including bocce ball, archery, hiking trails, and kid's programs, as well as golf and tennis for a fee. Our concierge can assist with reservations, activities, and questions.

  • What does CordeValle mean?
    CordeValle is derived from the Spanish phrase “El Corazón del Valle” (“the heart of the valley”). Located on1,700 acres of picturesque countryside in the heart of the Hayes Valley, south of San Jose, CordeValle is a world-class golf, spa, and winery resort in the Santa Cruz Mountains of Northern California.
  • Do guests have to wear masks?
    Due to California mandate, people are required to wear masks or protective face coverings in indoor establishments, including hotel lobbies, restaurants, and meeting venues, and common spaces. Masks may be removed in your guest room and when seated in our restaurant and bar. CordeValle associates and servers are required to wear masks when interacting with guests and members.
  • How much does a CordeValle wedding cost?
    CordeValle is a romantic wedding destination with beautiful indoor and outdoor venues, including the Ballroom, Rose Garden and Oak Terrace. The resort also offers exquisite catering, wedding planners, and custom packages for different budgets.   • Does CordeValle offer private dining space?
    CordeValle offers private dining spaces and intimate venues for dinner parties, wedding rehearsal dinners, holiday banquets, and company and team lunches. The One iron Bar Terrace is a lovely alfresco setting for dinner parties and small cocktail parties with beautiful golf course views.
  • What are the closest airports to the resort?
    CordeValle is located 35 minutes from Mineta San Jose International Airport. San Francisco International Airport is 60 minutes away, and Monterey Regional Airport is only 50 minutes away by car. Transfer car services may be arranged through the CordeValle concierge desk.
  • What is there to do in San Martin, CA?
    Located in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains in south Santa Clara County, San Martin is a beautiful city with charming estate wineries, ranches, farms, golf courses, parks, biking and equestrian trails, and attractions, including the Wings of History Aircraft Museum. San Martin is close to Gilroy Premium Outlets and Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park.
  • How far is CordeValle from San Jose?
    Located in the southern part of Santa Clara County, CordeValle resort and golf club is 30 minutes south of San Jose and Silicon Valley.
  • What is there to do in Northern California?
    Northern California offers a diverse landscape with mountains, beaches, forests, lakes, rivers, and endless outdoor activities. From wine tasting in Napa Valley to golf in the Santa Cruz Mountains, to Lake Tahoe skiing, to the beaches of Santa Cruz to the sights of San Francisco, to the coastal redwood forests, Northern California is a vacation playground.
  • What is the weather in Northern California?
    Northern California has a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild, rainy winters. Summer and early fall are very warm, with cooler nights. The spring and autumn months are mild with cool evenings. Winters are gentle with cool days and cold nights and considered the rainy season between January and March. The high mountains get winter snow, and the deserts experience hot summers and cool winters.
